ARTWORK #1:
“Palma de Mallorca”
10/20/18
Bristol paper, pencil, black micron pen, sharpie, India ink
20 in x 18 in x 0 in
I drew this piece based off of a photo I took while in Palma de Mallorca the summer before this course. I used a mixture of micron pen, sharpie, and India ink for the majority of my piece. My professor encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone and for the first time I felt I created a piece unique to my usual style.
ARTWORK #2:
“Sunflower”
11/1/18
Bristol paper, micron pen, sharpie
17 in x 11 in x 0 in
My “Sunflower” drawing is a piece I created during a free draw in class. I decided to start off with a sunflower as a basis for my drawing and just experiment from there with different styles.
ARTWORK #3:
“Obama Can”
11/2/18
Bristol paper, pencil, colored washable markers, sharpie
17 in x 11 in x 0 in
This piece was created as one of my sketches outside of class. I drew an outline of Obama and added to it from there. Eventually, I hope to turn this drawing into a painting.
