ARTWORK #9:
“Monthly ‘How to Grow’ Plant Calendar”
12/4/19
Pots, potting soil, Bristol paper, gouache, sharpie, printer paper, Adobe Photoshop
8 in x 36 in x 6 in
For my final project in Typography, I created a monthly plant calendar with a “How to Grow” guide for each month. The guide outlines how to grow the specific plant for that month and includes recipes that can be used after full growth. I used gouache to create the type on all the seed packets and plant marker sticks. Then, I used adobe photoshop to create the “How to Grow’ guide book.
ARTWORK #10:
“Typography Matrix in Connect4”
10/30/19
Connect4 Game Board, black poster paper, Microsoft Word
16 in x 40 in x 0 in
For this piece, I used a Connect4 game board to create a matrix of the alphabet. I used the yellow game pieces as my letters and the red game pieces to fill the rest of the matrix.
ARTWORK #11:
“Scuba”
10/5/19
Bristol vellum paper, gouache, sharpie, pencil, black construction board for frame
20 in x 16 in x 0 in
For this project we were asked to create a typography piece that relates to a specific occupation and represent that occupation using typography only. I decided to choose scuba diving and created an air tank out of the ‘U’ and goggles out of the ‘B’ in the word “SCUBA.”
